Minecraft Mods Folder Not Showing Up : You have optifine and can get shaders packs and more.. For installing mods on java edition you need a modloader, there is no way around it (forge, fabric, liteloader, and consideration of which version your wanting to play, 1.12.2, 1.14.4, etc. Hey, so the problem i have is, ive found the mods i wanted for 1.14.2 and put them into the mods folder in.minecraft. Optifine not showing up in game. You will have to make sure you are using the right folder. But it was still not there.
I have installed the mods folder file and watched many videos on how to but i just cant get it to work. I have read all the instructions about just placing the zip file of the mod into the mods folder in the.minecraft directory. I put the.zip of my mod in the mods folder, run minecraft, aaaand there is no mod. You will have to make sure you are using the right folder. But it was still not there.
